KVMRx and The Miners Foundry Cultural Center are exceedingly exuberant to present the KVMRx A’ Go Go—our summer series of monthly DJ Dance Nights. Expect an eclectic exploration of exquisite and at times, eccentric tunes. All are selected exclusively for your excitement across the expanse of the dance floor. We’re exhausting our vinyl collections and excavating the most exotic and explosive hits from our extensive personal exchequers. It’ll be an exemplary extravaganza of funky beats, British new wave, Italo disco, and whatever else we think will bring you to exclaim in extolment.

Whether you’re exhorting your extremist teen daughter to put on her go-go boots and do the hippy-shake with you—or you’d rather excogitate as our exceptional selections assist you in expelling the day’s exigencies and gas expenditures—we extend to you an invitation to an exploration of rhythm. Your eyes express slight confusion. Is KVMRx yet non-existent on your radio dial? No need to fret. I can alleviate your excruciating inexperience. I can even give you our exposé. Now I’m positive that you’re familiar with our darling community radio station, KVMR. Allow me to acquaint you with their scraggly orphan living in the studio under the stairs. KVMRx was created to provide an opportunity for younger generations in the community to get involved with KVMR, while being given the freedom to break the mold and shatter any preconceived notions of what a radio station should look and sound like. Some of the most unique, bizarre, genre-breaking shows have come to life here on KVMRx. Exploring anything from niche genres such as ‘90s House, Power Pop, EBM, K-Pop, ‘30s Swing,
Early Folk Blues, as well as eclectic shows that compare and contrast different cultures, genres, and time-periods, while still focusing heavily on new music that’s being released today. Broadcasting locally in Nevada City and Grass Valley at 105.7FM and worldwide at KVMRX.org.
