Myrtle Beach business helping unemployed dress for success

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Lapels Cleaners is helping unemployed workers get back on their feet by making sure they step into an interview room with confidence.

Lapels is offering free dry cleaning services to anyone on the hunt for a job.

All you have to do is drop off your suit, tell an employee it’s for an interview and then it will be ready to pick up in two days.

The owner of the dry cleaner, Adam Mathews, said he wants to give back to the community the best way he knows how.

“If you can get here, I will dry clean, press and laundry your clothes, and you’ll look like a million bucks,” Mathews said. “The rest will be on you for the interview, but I’m happy to provide that service for folks who might be a little down on their luck.”

Mathews said he plans on offering the service for as long the doors of Lapels are open.

“I don’t plan to ever stop this,” Mathews said. “I want to continue to love and help my fellow man for as long as I can.”

Lapels is open seven days a week and offers the service at both of its locations listed below:

  • 4210 River Oaks Drive, Carolina Forest, SC 29579
  • 6613 N Kings Highway Suite B, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572
