Book it for the ‘gram.
A good backdrop for the photo shoot has become just as important as fluffy robes and good room service to some international travelers and to help those wanting to snap their stay, researchers have ranked the world’s most Instagram-worthy hotels.
When creating the list, experts at Dubai Tours & Tickets analyzed a list of 80 top hotels worldwide and ranked them by the total number of hashtagged Instagram pictures shared online.
Since the data was from the Dubai-based travel company, it comes as no major shock that hotels in Dubai took the top two spots.
Of course, this particular list isn’t the definitive rankings out there, as many detail the world’s most beautiful hotels based on different criteria. According to one from Luxury Travel Advisor, Impression Isla Mujeres By Secrets in Mexico was voted The Most Instagrammable Hotel.
However, the resorts chosen by Dubai Tours & Tickets — Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm — are undeniably picture-perfect due to their locales and luxe amenities.
Burj Al Arab in Dubai
The Burj Al Arab in Dubai was crowned the most Instagrammable hotel in the world with over 2.5 million posts featuring the hotel’s Instagram hashtag.
The tall glass building was built on its own man-made island offering 198 exclusive suites overlooking the water.
It’s so hard to resist showing off this stay that it’s being posted on Instagram 2,869% more than Claridge’s in London, which ranked tenth out of the top 10 most Instagrammable hotels worldwide.
Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai
Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai came in second place with over 673,000 Instagram posts, including the hashtag.
The 1,544-room ocean-themed resort includes free access to the world’s largest waterpark — the Aquaventure Waterpark — including massive fish tanks that make you feel like you’re underwater.
The chain is located on Dubai’s Palm Island with views of Dubai’s iconic skyline and the Arabian Sea.
Soneva Jani in the Maldives
The Soneva Jani in the Maldives was listed as the third-most Instagram-worthy hotel with over 423,000 hashtagged posts on the app.
The spectacular stay is only accessible by seaplane from Velana International Airport, about 100 miles away, or by speedboat from Kunfunadhoo Island.
The exclusive resort only offers 51 over-water villas and seven island residences.
