AAA advises early or late travel to avoid traffic on busiest holiday weekend day
Va. (WSET) — AAA says if you’re driving Sunday, get ready for traffic.
They’re expecting it to be the busiest travel day of the holiday weekend.
Because of that, they have some tips to help you.

“Our best recommendation for drivers on Sunday is to leave in the morning, or if you are going to do some things before you come back home, kind of wait it out into the night time hours,” Morgan Dean, the AAA Mid-Atlantic Spokesperson said.
Dean says if you are traveling anywhere between noon and 6 p.m., you should expect a lot of traffic.
Unfortunately, even if you leave early in the morning or late at night, you may still run into some busier spots, just because of the sheer number of people that are driving.
