Post-match, Shane “Swerve” Strickland comes to the stage to take a long, meaningful look at Ricochet.
He gets on the mic and congratulates Ricochet for getting as far as he did last year but if memory serves, Ricochet said he was gonna win the Continental Classic? And him being a man of his word, he said that if Ricochet blew it, which he just did, that he was gonna embarrass him.
Ever since he stepped foot in AEW, Ricochet’s run his mouth, talking a lot of mess and now Swerve has to come out and clean up the mess? And the best way to clean up a mess… Prince Nana brings a wagon full of toilet paper to the stage and wheels it around handing rolls out to everybody in the front row.
Swerve continues, saying we want to help Ricochet, give him a clean slate into the next year, to forget about 2024 and move on to 2025. On the count of three… RICOCHET GETS TP’D!
