AIG’s new Atlanta innovation hub to drive growth and create 600+ jobs – Reinsurance News

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced its plans to consolidate and expand its Atlanta-area footprint with the relocation of its Alpharetta and Buckhead operations to a new innovation hub

To be located at 2002 Summit Boulevard Northeast in Brookhaven, Georgia, AIG’s new hub has been designed as a collaborative workspace that will accommodate current employees and more than 600 new local hires – which will include various roles across underwriting, claims, operations, data engineering and AI.

Through the establishment of the new hub, collocated teams will be empowered to foster digital competencies, experiment with innovative processes, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

According to AIG, this strategic initiative will accelerate the pace of innovation, driving growth and scaling the company’s core businesses to new heights.

He added: “This investment is part of our commitment to continue to enhance our expertise to help our clients and partners navigate complex and emerging risks, while building additional capabilities for the future.”

AIG’s investment in the 180,000-square-foot facility will triple its current office space to accommodate over 1,000 colleagues in Atlanta. This expansion will include the creation of over 600 new positions over the next five years.

The insurer plans to move into this new space, LEED Gold certified, in 2026.
