AGELESS GRACE

AIKEN, SC — (October 1, 2024) Aiken Senior Life Services is hosting a new class this fall. Ageless Grace is a seated core fitness program that uses 21 simple tools for lifelong comfort and ease based on the science of neuroplasticity. These tools re-open and create new neural pathways in the brain which, in turn, improve functions that typically deteriorate as we age. Coupled with upbeat, age-appropriate music, this fitness class is beneficial and fun.

“The benefits of Ageless Grace are numerous. Improved balance (to prevent falls), enhanced memory and recall, reduced joint pain, and refined sleep patterns are just some of the many benefits participants will experience from Ageless Grace,” said Aimee Hanna, executive director of ASLS.

Practicing, remembering and learning these simple skills allow positive results to come surprisingly quickly — much like remembering how to ride a bicycle after many years.

In this chair seated program, Ageless Grace attempts to stimulate the brain, engage core muscles and activate vital organs of the body, thereby stimulating systems of the body — including respiratory, digestive, endocrine, lymphatic and circulatory systems.

The No. 1 health concern of people of all ages is losing cognitive function and mobility as they age. People want freedom to live their lives. This brain fitness program keeps participants moving and thinking through the power of play.

Ageless Grace meets at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Aiken Senior Life Services, 1310 East Pine Log Road. For more information, call Louise Hyland, enrichment coordinator at 803-648-5447 ext. 0.
