Alachua County commissioners moving forward getting West End ready for World Masters Tournament

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County commissioners are moving forward with work to get the West End Golf Course ready for the World Masters Tournament.

They voted unanimously at their meeting Thursday to piggyback off agreements executives for the World Sports Turf’ made with Hillsborough County parks leaders.

They also authorized the manager to approve spending on the project above their $50,000 authority with only Ken Cornell in dissent.
