ALDI opens its doors in Thomasville, bringing more jobs and cheaper groceries
THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – ALDI officially opened the doors to its first store in Thomasville Thursday, with several residents excited about the lower food prices and new job opportunities the store is offering.
A line wrapped around the store’s parking lot, with over 350 residents in attendance, ready to enter the new store. The first 100 customers received gift cards and goodie bags.
One resident even said they had been waiting outside the store since 10 p.m. Wednesday for it to open.
Additionally, the store brings 15 full-time and part-time positions with a starting pay of $17.

Heather Moore, Loxley vice president for ALDI said she hopes the store will save residents money and also time.
“For the ones that have been traveling, certainly there is a financial output but time also time is precious, whether you want to watch the game or pick your kids up from school,” Moore said.
According to an ALDI press release, the store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
