It’s a new year, and while you might be getting a slow start on those resolutions, one thing is already kicking off with full force: awards season.

Last night, the Golden Globes returned to the Beverly Hilton hotel in Hollywood, where excellence in film and television were celebrated with a series of prizes, all orchestrated by this year’s host, the comedian Nikki Glaser.

It was a star-studded affair, with stars like Zendaya, Zoe Saldaña, and Demi Moore all receiving nods, with the latter two earning their first-ever wins. Viola Davis was honoured with the esteemed Cecil B. DeMille Award, while Ted Danson received the equally prestigious Carol Burnett Award.
