Alleged DUI driver crashes into Phoenix business

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix business was left damaged after a driver crashed through the front entrance early Sunday morning.

Around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to the collision at a strip mall near 49th Avenue and Bell Road.

When they arrived, officers found the driver, later identified as 32-year-old Alexandria Montgomery, and a passenger crashed into a Harbor Freight store.

Neither Montgomery nor her passenger were seriously injured.

Montgomery was arrested and processed for DUI. She was given a ticket instead of being detained and was released from custody when the DUI processing was complete.

Arizona’s Family crews witnessed damage to the store’s front windows and broken glass scattered on the sidewalk.

Police are still investigating this crash.
