Alternate travel routes to the airport on Buc-ee’s opening day

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – If you have travel plans on December 16, you may want to take an alternate route to the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

That’s because Buc-ee’s is opening on that day, and the traffic is expected to be congested in the area.

To save time on your way to the airport, you can take the following routes:

• Take SE 3rd Avenue and use the overpass ramp to access Airport Boulevard.
• Exit SE 3rd Avenue from Lakeside Drive, drive east on 3rd and use the overpass ramp to access Airport Boulevard.
• Exit Pullman off I-40 and drive north on Pullman until you reach the stop sign at Airport Boulevard across from the Rental Car Return sign.
