Amazon Is Dropping Massive Discounts on Gaming Headsets for Prime Day – IGN
Amazon Prime Day is here, and you’re in for two full days of great deals on the best gaming headsets around. That includes latency-free wireless gaming headsets and some of the best wired gaming headsets on the market right now. I’ve tracked down nine of the best gaming headset deals for Prime Day so you can get your hands on a deal that’s been worth waiting for.
There are some great offers up for grabs – with my personal favorites, including the high-end Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless, and some great gaming earbuds – all getting big price cuts for Prime Day. I’ve even included some great budget headsets that are a nice deal at any price.
Remember, you’ll need to be a Prime member to secure these offers, so consider picking up a 30-day free trial before the end of the sale.
TL;DR: These Are the Best Gaming Headset Prime Day Deals
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for $274.95
Usually coming in at a whopping $350, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is on offer for $275 over Prime Day. This thing has been one of my favorite gaming headsets since it came out. I still use it as my daily headset, in fact. Why? Because this thing offers stunning sound quality, great noise suppression, supreme comfort and a hot-swappable battery that’ll last me until well past the end of Prime Day. There’s a spare battery and a charging dock included in the separate transmitter box, too.
Check out our Arctis Nova Pro Wireless review for a thorough breakdown of its features. Although it isn’t the best price we’ve seen it going for this year, this deal still knocks a couple bucks off of IGN’s favorite gaming headset that’s worth a look even at full price.
And if you don’t mind being tethered to your machine, the wired version is a little cheaper at $190 for PC and PS5, and $175 for Xbox (down from its usual retail price of $250).
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless for $146.85
There’s a reason you see HyperX’s flash of red and black whenever someone utters the words ‘best gaming headset.’ These know how to handle sound. For those looking for a sturdy gaming headset with a long-lasting wireless connection, the HyperX Cloud Alpha is enjoying a tasty 38% discount for Prime Day.
They may not be built for use with Xbox consoles, but as we’ve noted in our review, this headset delivers “a layered, balanced sound stage” among countless other features that make this one well worth a look for under $150.
Again, if you’re not too bothered about wires and are looking to save even more, the HyperX Cloud III is currently just $70, down from its usual $100 retail price. It’s another stunning gaming headset that scored an 8 in our review thanks to its supremely comfortable and durable frame, and solid soundstage.
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max for 119.99
Amazon is selling the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max for $60 under its list price, which is nothing to thumb your nose at for this comfortable wireless headset. In IGN’s 9/10 review, Samuel Horti calls it a “dream pick if you own both an Xbox and a PlayStation console” with its no-fuss 2.4GHz wireless connection that provides full, punchy sound.
Sony Inzone H9 Wireless for $199.99
Right now, the Sony Inzone H9 wireless gaming headset is just $200 for Prime Day. That’s down from its usual $300 price tag, and for a discount like that, this thing is certainly worth checking out. Not only does it offer simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless pairing, it also comes with around 30 hours of battery life and flawless 3D audio.
Our Sony Inzone H9 wireless review notes that it’s a little difficult to recommend at its premium price point due to a middling mic and music performance. But with this kind of discount, you wont have to worry about paying high-end pricing for a mid-tier gaming headset.

Alternatively, the Sony Inzone H5 Wireless is still a great buy today, and right now it’s down to $130 from the standard $150 retail price. Not bad for a gaming headset that aces both comfort and sound quality.
Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed Gaming Earbuds for $119.99
Low latency, compact, and super comfortable, the Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed Earbuds scored an 8 in our review and now sit at the top of our best gaming earbuds roundup. For the moment, they’re down from $150 to $120 for Prime Day. That’s a 23% discount on some fantastic earbuds that provide smashing directional audio and a 30-hour battery life.
For an over-ear headset from Razer, we’d also recommend the Barracuda X. As Mike Epstein wrote in his 8/10 IGN review, “the Razer Barracuda X isn’t flashy, but it brings clear and easy-to-use wireless audio” to most any platform. “Given the $99 price tag, it’s also one of the best budget wireless headsets out there.”
JBL Quantum One for $199.95
Amazon is slicing 30% off the price of a bunch of JBL headsets, including the Quantum 910 Wireless Gaming Headset (which IGN gave an 8/10), but the one to grab now is the Quantum One. In our 9/10 review, Mike Epstein called it an “incredible” and “singular” gaming headset that can “stand tall with the best on the market.” Knocking $100 off of this covetable headset that’ll last years is a deal we’d recommend snatching up.
Corsair Virtuoso Pro for $139.99 and Corsair HS65 Wireless for $74.99
Several Corsair headsets are marked down up to 40% from their typical prices, but we’d suggest checking out two in particular. The Corsair Virtuoso Pro with no discount run a little steep for wired headsets, but this Prime Day sale price is easier to swallow. In IGN’s 8/10 review, Chris Coke pegs these as a great “all-in-one” headset that “gives the best gaming headsets a run for their money in sheer sound quality” with its 50mm drivers.
The Corsair HS65 Wireless is a multi-platform wonder with simple plug-and-play connections. While those of you with a larger cranium might find it a bit tight, this is a gorgeous headset with a minimal design and 7.1 surround sound, and with both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.2 capabilities, you can switch easily between gaming and music. While the software leaves something to be desired, per our Corsair HS65 wireless review, the “24-hour battery ensures you can play and listen all day long.”
Should You Wait Until Black Friday to Buy a Gaming Headset?
Gaming headsets aren’t usually very budget-friendly, so it’s worth hunting down the best possible deal. The best time to buy a new headset is always going to be either Prime Day or Black Friday. The big difference between these two shopping events is that by Black Friday, most manufacturers have rolled out their newest headset models, so you’re more likely to find discounts on the most recent releases. That said, some of our favorite tried and true gaming headsets are on sale for Prime Day, and it’s always a risk to wait and see whether prices will drop lower. You may also be able to find deeper discounts on older headsets and earbuds, like this year’s Prime Day AirPods deals.
