Amazon Is Dropping Prices on LEGO Mario Sets Ahead of Prime Day 2024 – IGN

The Amazon Prime Day sale doesn’t officially start until next week, but there have already been a slew of early Prime Day deals shoppers can take advantage of. This is largely thanks to Walmart launching its rival Prime Day sale with some of the best discounts of the year so far. And if you happen to be a fan of both LEGO sets and Mario games, there are already some great deals to shop right now.

Both Amazon and Walmart are currently discounting popular Super Mario Bros. LEGO sets ahead of Prime Day 2024. You can check out some of our favorite discounts from this sale below:

Mario LEGO Sets on Sale Now

LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant

This set contains 540 pieces.

LEGO Super Mario Adventures Set

LEGO Super Mario Adventures Set

Includes a LEGO Mario figure.

LEGO Donkey Kong's Tree House Expansion Set

LEGO Donkey Kong’s Tree House Expansion Set

Includes a Donkey Kong figure.

Considering Prime Day is one of the best times to buy LEGO sets every year, it’s definitely notable that there are discounts happening ahead of the Amazon event. Perhaps the most notable deal from this sale is the LEGO Piranha Plant build, which appears to have been discounted for the first time. We have actually built the LEGO Piranha set ourselves and have indeed concluded that it is an absolute delight.

That isn’t the only LEGO Super Mario set currently on sale, however, and you can find discounts on the LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, and LEGO Donkey Kong sets that all come with unique collectible figures. Each of these sets is worth picking up for the iconic character figures alone, and the current discounts from Amazon make them some of the best Nintendo LEGO sets you can buy right now.

Should You Buy Now or Wait for Prime Day Deals?

It can be hard to make a purchasing decision when one of the biggest sales of the year is just a week away. That being said, these LEGO Super Mario sets are all currently sitting at all-time low prices. While it’s certainly possible that these prices could drop even further for Prime Day 2024, it’s unlikely that Amazon would offer these discounts so close to the actual event only to drop them further. This is especially true with something like the LEGO Piranha Plant set, which is currently at its lowest price ever for the first time.
