Amtrak’s Summer Flash Sale Is Here

If you’ve been dismayed over the cost of flights this summer, may I recommend an alternative method of travel? Trains! Take a train this summer and do your wallet and the environment a kindness. Right now, you can get even cheaper train tickets than usual with Amtrak’s summer flash sale. The sale offers 30% off on train routes nationwide for travel dates between June 1 and August 30, 2024.

Here’s what you need to know to take advantage of the sale. Amtrak is offering the discount on bookings made by May 16. You don’t need a discount code or to fill out any special membership forms to get the deal. All you need to do is head to Amtrak.com to make the booking. The deal applies to coach class and Acela Business class only. There are no blackout dates for travel, meaning you can find discounts on trains for the busy July 4th holiday weekend.

The sale will be valid on all routes except:

  • Adirondack
  • Capitol Corridor
  • Empire Service
  • Ethan Allen
  • Keystone
  • Maple Leaf
  • Pacific Surfliner
  • Pennsylvanian
  • Markets between Washington DC and Virginia
