Apple’s new MacBook Pro and other products to come in various configurations, check out all of them below, as detailed by analyst
A Russian YouTuber has already unboxed the M4 MacBook Pro and shared the performance details of the device, but it is worth noting that the device will be available in various configurations. Mark Gurman shares in his latest Power On newsletter all the Macs that the company will be introducing with different configuration options. If you are planning to get your hands on one of the Macs, check out which chip each model comes in.
Firstly, the 14-inch MacBook Pro will be available with the standard M4 chip, sitting at the base of the new lineup. Additionally, the higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be available in M4 Pro and M4 Max configurations. The company will reserve the M4 Ultra chips for its higher end Mac Studio and Mac Pro which will potentially be announced next year.
Other than the MacBook Pro models, the analyst also claims that the Mac mini will be available in M4 and M4 Pro configurations, giving users more options depending on the type of processing they require. Lastly, the company will also announce the new 24-inch iMac with an M4 chip, which is one of the highly anticipated devices to launch this year.
Other than the new Macs, Apple is also expected to announce the iPad mini 7, which will be powered by the new A18 chip, according to recent rumors. The analyst has also shared details on the upcoming MacBook Air lineup, which will also house the new M4 chip. The ‘Air’ lineup is expected to be announced in the Spring of 2025, alongside the iPhone SE 4 and the new iPad Air models with upgraded internals.
Similar to the MacBook Pro lineup, the ‘Air’ lineup will also feature no design changes, but the company could introduce internal variations, such as connectivity upgrades. It was also reported that the new Macs and the iPad mini 7 would be announced via a press release, which is evidence that the machines will only come with internal upgrades contributing to better performance instead of design variations. Do you think the company will host a dedicated event to announce the redesigned Mac mini?
