Andre Iguodala, Jason Terry highlight 2024 Arizona Sports Hall of Fame class

A pair of former Arizona men’s basketball All-Americans are among seven inductees into the 2024 Arizona Sports Hall of Fame class.

Former Wildcats hoops standouts Andre Iguodala and Jason Terry will be honored in the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame during an August 30 ceremony. The 2024 class also includes softball’s Kenzie Fowler, baseball’s Bob Ralston and track and field’s Lawi Lalang, Julie LaBonte and Nick Ross.

The 2024 class combined to earn 12 NCAA national championships, double digit All-Conference nods, and more than 20 All-America selections.

Dr. Donald Porter, Arizona’s head team physician from 1989-2022, will also be inducted.

Iguodala was an AP All-American in his one season at Arizona (2003-04). He went on to have a 19-year NBA career, winning four championships with the Golden State Warriors.

Terry, a member of Arizona’s 1997 national championship team, played four seasons at UA (1995-99). He is one of six players to have his jersey retired. Terry played 19 seasons in the NBA.

Fowler was a two-time NFCA All-American, a two-time All-Pac-10 selection, and a 2010 USA Softball Player of the Year Finalist during her time at Arizona (2009-14).

Ralston was a a First Team All-American in 1984 and twice was a team batting champion in his three years at Arizona (1982-84).

Lalang (2010-14) earned a total of eight NCAA national championships and a pair of Division I Indoor National Men’s Track Athlete of the Year awards as a long-distance runner.

LaBonte, a discuss and shot put thrower, won both the indoor and outdoor shot put titles in 2011. LaBonte (2009-14) was a three-time,NCAA Indoor All-American, five-time NCAA Outdoor All-American, four-time Pac-10/12 champion.

Ross was a nine-time All-American and a 2012 NCAA national champion. Ross (2009-14) remains the Arizona program record holder in the high jump, while his long jump and triple jump marks are both top 10 all-time.
