Animate! Columbus 2024 brings entertainment icons to the city

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Animate! Columbus is “Naruto Running” it’s way to the Greater Columbus Convention Center this weekend.

Animate! will be a celebration of all things animated, with appearances from beloved characters, creators and industry stars.

Escape from reality and dress up as your favorite characters this weekend. Ashton Blaise, a Cosplayer, joined founder Mike Broder on Good Day Columbus to talk about the event, and she mentioned how supportive the community is.

I really just love the community, and how there are so many different types of people who can express themselves through Cosplay.

Marvel fans will be excited, as three of the voices from the hit series “X-Men 97” will be in town, including Ray Chase (Cyclops), Matthew Waterson (Magneto) and A.J LoCascio (Gambit).
