Anna Rosburg, Alerus Center general manager, named one of 50 venue business all-stars

GRAND FORKS — Anna Rosburg, general manager at the Alerus Center, has been named one of the 2024 VenuesNow All-Stars. The business-to-business trade publication, focused on live entertainment venues around the world, announced the list of 50 named All-Stars last week.

Driving results within the Alerus Center and Midwest markets has been exciting, Rosburg said on her VenuesNow All-Stars page, and she’s looking forward to finessing the center’s initiatives.

“I love what I do every day,” she said. “We have so much potential in our Midwest markets with general managers who are doing a great job driving results for their municipalities.”

VenuesNow began creating yearly All-Stars lists in 2019, focused on “a group of 50 extraordinary people and places changing the face of the venues business,” its website says. The 2024 list includes a look into the future through rebuilds of facilities, major renovations and revived focus on live entertainment.

Rosburg also was named a Pollstar and VenuesNow 2021 Impact: Next Gen

, which highlighted young business professionals. Meka White Morris, senior vice president and chief revenue officer for the Minnesota Twins, and Lucy August-Perna, director of global sustainability for Live Nation, were also named honorees that year.

Rosburg’s All-Stars page recognized the success of the Alerus Center’s recent

, saying markets in nearly every region have seen ticket sale bumps over the past few years. The Bryan shows’ impact, Rosburg said, was staggering.

“Being able to bring an event like that to a community is incredibly rewarding,” she said. “My favorite part is being able to feel the energy in the room and know that we are really all in the business of making memories.”

The Alerus Center is a publicly owned concert, sports and convention venue that opened in 2001 along Interstate 29. Owned by the city, the facility is managed by Spectra.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
