Umami Crystals are purple items that you will encounter by defeating strong enemies or breaking chunks in the overworld. You can use these Crystals to unlock new skills for Kril, like the ability to fast travel between the different unlocked Moon Snail Shells. These act as a safe haven in Another Crab’s Treasure, allowing Kril the chance to rest up and heal, check out the shell collection, level up their stats with Microplastics, and, eventually, fast travel.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Another Crab’s Treasure
The skill to unlock fast travel in Another Crab’s Treasure will show up if you check out the skill tree menu, but even if you have enough Umami Crystals to unlock it, you won’t be able to until you meet up with a certain individual. On your journey to get a shiny item for the Duchess, you’ll face off against a boss named Polluted Platoon Pathfinder. Defeat the mad crab, and it will drop the Pristine Pearl, which the Duchess wants.
After the fight, drop down into the lower area to reach the Moon Snail’s Domain. Go over and speak to the Moon Snail, who will further expand Kril’s Umami abilities.
Now, you can go ahead and unlock the Shelleportation (fast travel) skill for five Umami Crystals. This allows you to warp between previously visited Moon Snail Shells.
If you go behind the snail, you’ll find the Moon Snail’s Domain shell. You’ll need to fast travel here to unlock any new skills for Kris. You can also Refund skills to regain Umami Crystals –you’ll need a Shark Egg to do so, however.
How to Fast Travel in Another Crab’s Treasure
With the Shelleportation skill unlocked and ready, head inside the Moon Snail Shell and select the new ‘Shelleport’ option.
Important Locations will have places such as the Moon Snail’s Domain listed. Once you explore more areas, more shells will start to appear on the list.
