Appalled at Hershey Entertainment welcoming the Tucker Carlson show to our community | PennLive letters

As a resident of Derry Township, I was appalled and saddened by the decision of the HE & R Co. to schedule the Tucker Carlson “show.” I was under the impression that Hershey Entertainment was a “family friendly” company that promoted wholesome programs and entertainment. We all know the hate, lies, and vitriol Tucker and his friends spread.

Tucker’s program would give guests like Alex Jones, who profited from his lies about Sandy Hook and others that are known to spread lies and hate, a platform to keep spreading their vitriol. How on earth can any of this kind of toxic rhetoric be about diversity and caring for our community?

It sounds like the call of the almighty dollar is the first concern here. I, among many others, submit my objections and will continue to speak out about this lapse of moral behavior on the part of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. I can’t help thinking that Milton Hershey would also be appalled that his namesake would be used for this kind of “entertainment.”
