Apple Has No Intention Of Changing The Design Of The Magic Mouse, As All Accessories Have Been Upgraded With A USB-C Port For iMac And Mac Pro

Apple launched the new 24-inch iMac yesterday as a surprise with its new M4 chip, and while the design of the machine is the same as before, the internal upgrade is a worthy reason to upgrade. Apple was supposed to launch the new Macs by the end of the month, but it appears that Apple is opting for a gradual rollout rather than a full-fledged release. Apple also made some changes to its Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard, which now comes with USB-C ports instead of Lightning.

Apple’s 24-inch M4 iMac launch includes the Magic Mouse and the Magic accessory, which features a USB-C port instead of Lightning. However, the company also upgraded the accessories for its M2 Ultra Mac Pro. It appears that the company is shifting to the new standard for all of its devices rather than just the newly launched products.

Other than the new accessories, the Mac Pro features the same design and internals as before, as the company has plans to upgrade the device by the end of next year. It is good to see that users who are still interested in buying the Mac Pro will get new USB-C accessories other than the old Lightning accessories. The Mac Pro was launched back in 2022 with an M2 Ultra chip, priced at $5,999.

If you already have a Mac but want to get the new Magic Keyboard and Mouse, you can get the USB-C accessories separately as well. We have to take note that one major issue with the Magic Mouse is still present, which is the design. Charging the Magic Mouse is a nuisance as you can not use the accessory while charging it. This is because the charging port is situated at the bottom, and you would have to turn it upside down to charge it, rendering it useless until it is charged.
