Apple Has Released iOS 18.1 And macOS 15.1 Beta 3 With Two Major Apple Intelligence Features

It is a busy day for developers as Apple has not only released beta 8 of iOS 18 but also seeded beta 3 of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 with all the new Apple intelligence goodness. If you are a developer, you can download and install iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 through the Settings app on your iPhone by navigating to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates and installing the latest build. Note that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are eligible for the betas, as it is a dedicated Apple intelligence update that is not compatible with older models.

The latest iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 3 update brings two notable additions, which include a new ‘Clean Up’ feature to Apple Intelligence-powered Photos feature and the ability to see a summary of notifications for all apps, including stock as well as third-party apps. The macOS 15.1 update can be downloaded to Apple Silicon-powered Macs through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Apple Intelligence is a key part of iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 updates, as the company has added a few new features to the table before officially releasing the final build. However, we have to note that this is not the final beta update, unlike iOS 18 and macOS 15, which will be available to the public next month.

We expect the updates to be available in October, which is a few weeks later than originally expected, but the wait is worth it as Apple is perfecting Apple Intelligence features. There are a handful of Writing Tools in the update along with a new Siri experience with redesigned visuals. Smart replies are also part of the update, which will save time on a plethora of occasions, including Messages, Mail, and much more.
