Apple Releases 7A305 Firmware Update for AirPods Pro 2

Apple released another firmware update for its AirPods Pro 2 wireless earbuds today.

The firmware is version 7A305, up from 7A302, which was released last week. It applies to both the AirPods Pro 2 with Lightning Charging Case and AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C Charging Case.

Apple says the update contains “bug fixes and other improvements”. These are likely for 7A294 which brought major changes including head gestures, Voice Isolation, latency improvements, and more.

About AirPods Updates
Firmware updates are delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Because firmware updates are delivered automatically, you don’t need to update your AirPods.

To use your iPhone or iPad to check that your AirPods are up to date, make sure that you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button next to the name of your AirPods. Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version.

If you don’t already have AirPods, they are available at the links below:
AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) – $189.99 ($59.01 off)
AirPods 4 (ANC) – $169 ($10 off)
AirPods 4 – $119 ($10 off)
AirPods 3 – $129.99 ($39.01 off)
