APPLETON – Avery Werfal scored 21 points, Tay Maass 18 and Amber Ziemer 13 as the Lightning raced past the Terrors in Fox Valley Association action.

Allysen Buss led Appleton West with 16 points.

The win moves North to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the FVA, while West falls to 1-5 and 0-4 in the conference.

Raegan Krueger scored 27 points to lead Kimberly. Haylie Dulas added 10 points.

Hortonville was led by Rainey Welson with 20 points. Leah Heraly added 11.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the FVA.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood took a 16-point lead into intermission before outscoring the Chiefs 35-14 the rest of the way.

APPLETON – Grant Hardy scored 18 points and 14 Lightning players scored on the night as they rolled to the big Fox Valley Association win over the cross-town rival Terrors.

Also scoring in double figures for Appleton North were Will Sweeney with 17 points and Abraham Tomori with 16.

Leading the Appleton West attack were Parrion Peace with 14 points, Chrishawn Salley with 12 and Lucas Downs with 10.

KAUKAUNA – Andrew Jensen scored 17 of his game-high 27 points in the first half as the Ghosts pulled out to a 21-point halftime lead in the win over the Patriots.

LITTLE CHUTE – Nolan Jakubek poured in 29 points as the Mustangs held off the Foxes in North Eastern Conference action.

Little Chute jumped out to a 16-0 lead and led 32-21 at halftime, then held off the Foxes down the stretch.

The Mustangs are now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while FVL falls to 3-1 and 2-1.

Leading Fox Valley Lutheran was Amani Dahlke with 12 points and Graham Feidt with 11.

DENMARK – The Vikings outscored the Comets 20-1 at the free throw line to pick up the win.

Jack Dewar went 11-for-12 at the free throw line and finished with 15 points to lead Denmark.

Aaron Wolff led Waupaca with 13 points.

Ethan Cyra’s 18 points led Wrightstown.

The Bluejays led 38-27 at the break, but Seymour closed the gap in the second half.

Isaac Feske led the Thunder with 24 points, while Kyler Marks added 15, Teage Cornell 12 and Jordan Krause 11.

MEQUON – Henry Heathman scored a goal in the second period for Appleton in the loss to the Highlanders.

Tyler Bishop and Jack Kangas had assists for Appleton.

United goalie Brandon Tobak made 42 saves, while Andrew Pound had 20 saves for Homestead.

Northland Pines 4, Waupaca 2

WAUPACA – Despite the Comets outshooting the Eagles 37-25, Waupaca found itself on the short end.

Cael Prey scored both of the Comets’ goals on assists from Colin Everts.

Gavin Hafferman made 15 saves in net for Waupaca.

Scoring goals for Northland Pines were Julian Merschdorf, Sam Shrock, Nicholas Hahn and Michael Schmidt. Schmidt’s goal was an empty-netter with under two minutes remaining.
