Arcane Season Two Ends in Amazing Fashion

On Nov. 23, Riot and Netflix’s “Arcane” aired its final act of Season two officially concluding “Arcane” after two seasons. While “Arcane” might have ended, the stories in the “Arcane” universe are just beginning as there are more stories planned within the world.

“Arcane” is one of the most visually stunning pieces of media I have ever seen. Every single frame in the show is crafted with masterful detail, and each scene is packed with beauty. The attention to detail and the stunning nature of each shot is truly something that we have never seen before, and it plays into what makes “Arcane” a show that will define an era.

The greatness of the animation plays into just how good the story and the characters are, it enhances every aspect of the show more than most animation can. The story continues on its phenomenal path from season one. After waiting three years for season two, it did not disappoint. Picking up right where season one ended, and thrusting us right back into the tension was amazing. From the second season two begins the show goes into complete overdrive, something is happening every second. This ends up being one of the show’s strengths, and one of its very few weaknesses. In act one and most of act two, the fast pace works, and there are very few ongoing storylines. With this, the show is able to dive into each of the branching stories in greater detail, and they all feel well-fleshed out. Comparatively, the ending of act two and the entirety of act three are a bit rushed in their storytelling. This is not to say that these two parts of the story are bad, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. The end of act two, and act three are both still narratively amazing, but with the fast pace, and small episode count, some storylines are rushed, or left shrouded in mystery. Ultimately these storylines are expected to continue as we see more stories in this universe, but in terms of a singular show, and season you wish there was just a little more time.

As Riot confirmed three new shows set in the “Arcane” world, we leave “Arcane” with one of the most beautifully crafted stories in all of media. The almost flawless work from everyone involved is something to behold, as we await the next chapters in this amazing world.
