The Arlington Travel Baseball age 10-under Arsenal Blue won the championship at the recent Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League fall World Series at Patriot Park in Fairfax.

The Arsenal Blue opened with a 6-4 win over the Pioneer Legends. The team benefited from timely hitting by Neil Kasyan (three hits, two RBI) along with strong pitching from winner Bryce Keller. Ethan Guthrie pitched in relief and William Epton earned the save.

After a loss, the Arsenal Blue again defeated the Pioneer Legends, 16-3. Epton got the win on the mound and Graham Sibley earned the save. Matthew Cardis had three hits and Kasyan drove in four runs.

In the championship game against the Reston Warriors, the Arsenal Blue won 8-0. Cardis threw shutout ball to get the win. Clark Heisey homered, Kasyan tripled, Drew Woolfley doubled and the defense played well.

Charlie Canter, Topher Bradshaw, Jackson Davis and Lucas Pham each contributed to the team’s success.

Richie Pacheco is the head coach and Michael Cardis the assistant.
