Over the past decade and a half, ARLnow has occasionally covered news of neighboring Falls Church that is of potential interest to our Arlington readers.

Now we’re making it official — and more frequent.

Starting this week, ARLnow will start covering business and public safety news in the Little City on a more regular basis. Expect 2-3 articles per week, to start, but that may vary with the news cycle. This will be in addition to — not in replacement of — existing Arlington coverage.

The goal of this expansion is to serve both Arlington readers and Falls Church residents. With an increasingly vibrant food and drink scene, and longtime local institutions like the State Theater, Falls Church is a popular regional dining and nightlife destination. Meanwhile, Arlington shares public safety resources with Falls Church, including the 911 calls center, courts, and the fire department.

Given that Falls Church happenings are also of interest to our neighbors in Fairfax County, you can expect to see links to much of this coverage in the Morning Notes of FFXnow.

We’ll kick things off tomorrow with a crash course on the Falls Church restaurant scene.
