Arsenal suffer MASSIVE blow for table-topping Liverpool clash

Arsenal host Liverpool in one week and have already suffered a gigantic blow ahead of the Premier League clash.

Arsenal vs Liverpool promises to be one of the biggest games of the Premier League season. They are, after all, two of the three title favourites – and their chances of actually beating Manchester City rose dramatically with Rodri’s injury.

But Arsenal have already suffered a gigantic blow. William Saliba will now miss the fixture, having earned himself a red card against Bournemouth earlier today.

A ball over the top caused an immediate foot race, with Saliba second-favourite to get there. He ran right over the leading man, however, fouling him and getting a yellow card.

VAR disagreed: they saw red. This was a clear goalscoring opportunity, so off Saliba went.

This means Saliba serves a one-match suspension and unfortunately for Arsenal, that match happens to be one of the most important they’ll play all season. Their best-in-the-league partnership at the back will be broken up and Liverpool have a glorious chance to take advantage of.
