Arsenal’s worst players in 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth
Arsenal suffered an incredibly damaging defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.
Not only did the 2-0 defeat give Liverpool and Manchester City the opportunity to go a few points clear of Arsenal in the Premier League table with wins on Sunday, but William Saliba’s straight red card will also see the Gunners be without their star centre-back for the upcoming clash with Liverpool next weekend.
So all in all, not ideal.
Here’s Arsenal’s worst-performing players in the defeat, according to 90min’s player ratings.
Jakub Kiwior: 2/10
The fact that Kiwior was subbed on in the 37th minute and then subbed off again in the 81st tells you all you need to know about how the defender performed on Saturday.
Having won 0% of his attempted tackles and and having gifted Bournemouth a penalty in the second half with a woefully tame back pass, it’s more than fair to say that Kiwior played very, very badly.
Dishonourable mentions
William Saliba: 2/10
At the end of the day, if William Saliba hadn’t have gotten himself sent off, chances are Arsenal may have won the game on Saturday evening.
The red card capped off what’s been a pretty poor week all-round for the defender, who was heavily criticised by the French media for his performances in his nation’s October international clashes with Belgium and Israel.
He’ll now miss Arsenal’s crucial clash with Liverpool next weekend through suspension.
Leandro Trossard: 2/10
At the end of the day, William Saliba wouldn’t have been sent off had Leandro Trossard not decided to play Evanilson clean through on goal – for some unknown reason.
The Belgian did little to make amends thereafter that mistake either, completing a measly 63% of his passes and failing to create a single chance for his own teammates.
