Arwen Elys Dayton Joins Getaway Entertainment As Co-Founder And Co-Head Of Development
EXCLUSIVE: Arwen Elys Dayton, best-selling and award-winning author, has joined director Sophia Banks and producer Damiano Tucci at Getaway Entertainment as Co-Founder and Co-Head of Development.
Arwen is the author of seven published works and is best known for her award-winning novel Stronger, Faster and More Beautiful as well as her Seeker series, which has been published worldwide.
“Our mandate at Getaway is to craft unforgettable stories, to make movies that we ourselves want to watch, and to draw you into captivating worlds,” Dayton says. “For me as a storyteller, there is no more thrilling job than to help bring these kinds of projects to life.”
Her international bestselling Resurrection blends Ancient Egypt and modern-day Earth in a science fiction thriller.

Her work as a screenwriter includes adapting her Seeker book trilogy for television and producing with Gerard Butler and Alan Siegel at GBASE, as well as penning many original works for film including the upcoming Jonah + Aggie, with Catherine Hardwick directing. She is also producing an upcoming feature with Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Studios. She brings to Getaway IP across several genres that will be developed and produced in house.
Getaway’s upcoming slate of projects includes the Cary Joji Fukunaga helmed Blood and Snow starring Tom Hardy and Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Oh Canada from Paul Schrader starring Richard Gere.
