Ascension Chamber of Commerce to hold business expo Aug. 22 in Gonzales

The Ascension Chamber of Commerce will welcome business professionals and community leaders as it hosts the Business Expo & Summit Presented by the Cardiovascular Institute of the South at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center’s REV Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 22.

“Connecting people is at the heart of what we do at the Ascension Chamber,” Chamber President/CEO David Alexander said in an announcement. “Throughout our Business Expo, there will be various activities championing connections amongst businesses and professionals in attendance. We encourage all interested professionals to drop by anytime during the day, as their schedules allow, to experience the friendly, supportive, and vibrant atmosphere that makes Ascension so unique and special.”

The event will begin with a luncheon highlighting member businesses, the Ascension Parish Public Schools Partners in Education program and a keynote address by Cody Salomone, who has been a Chick-fil-A franchise owner for 13 years.

“Exceptional service is a timeless skill that AI can never replace, and I can’t think of anyone better to share about legendary service than Cody,” Alexander said in the announcement.

More than 100 local companies and organizations are scheduled to setup exhibitor booths.

A prize passport, sponsored by Williamson Eye Center, will encourage attendees to visit with each of the exhibitors to receive stamps and earn prizes.

The event will conclude with a happy hour, sponsored by Express Employment Professionals, where attendees will be able to network with samples and prizes.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register by Aug. 16. Attendees do not have to be members.
