Asia Is Trending with Gen Z—Here’s Where to Go
If you ask Gen Zers and Millennials where they want to travel next, there’s a good chance they’ll pick one of the many gorgeous destinations in Asia.
According to a trend report by travel app Hopper, interest in Asian destinations started surging in mid-2022, right after many Asian countries eased their restrictions related to the pandemic and the US removed reentry test requirements for its citizens.
Interest in Asia-bound travel only grew from there. The same report points out that in 2023, Gen Z and Millennial travelers checked prices for Asia 50% more often than they did before the pandemic. One of the most searched countries was Thailand, a common starting point for all those who want to take a proper tour of Southeast Asia.
But Thailand’s gorgeous islands aren’t the only destinations worthy of a visit. Many other Asian countries, islands, and cities tend to fall under the radar when it comes to trip planning, but luckily, we’ve got the list you’ve been looking for for travel inspiration.
