Augusta woman accused of stealing truck, assaulting business owner

WINDSOR (WGME) — Maine State Police says an Augusta woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a business owner and leaving the scene in a stolen pickup truck.

Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. Thursday at 142 Augusta Rockland Road in Windsor.

Investigators posted an image of the woman on social media and received a credible tip identifying the woman as33-year-old Jenyfer Clark of Augusta.

Around 3:40 a.m., Clark was found hiding from troopers in Pittsfield on Canaan Road.

She was taken into custody and brought to theKennebec County Correctional Facility in Augusta.

Clark is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, assault and violating conditions of release.

She also had an active probation revocation warrant as well as a warrant charging her with assault, disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest.
