Austin ranks 4th best warm destination for 2024 winter travel by WalletHub

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin has been ranked as the fourth-best warm destination for winter travel in 2024, according to a new WalletHub report.

The personal-finance website compared nearly 70 of the largest U.S. metro areas using 37 key metrics ranging from the expense and hassle of traveling to each location to factors including weather forecasts and safety.

Planning a Winter Getaway in Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown (1=Best; 19=Avg.):

• 3rd – Travel Costs & Hassles
• 19th – Local Costs
• 10th – Attractions
• 6th – Weather
• 12th – Activities

Las Vegas ranked first, followed by San Diego and then Dallas.

For cold weather destinations, Atlanta, Georgia took first overall followed by New York and Washington D.C.
