Avelo Airlines Adds 10 New Routes and One Destination and Jobs

NORTH CAROLINA- Avelo Airlines (XP) is expanding its operations in North Carolina, announcing two new bases at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport and Wilmington International Airport.

The strategic expansion includes launching five new routes from these airports and the carrier’s first two international routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Avelo Airlines 10 New Routes

The airline will now serve 27 nonstop routes from North Carolina, marking a substantial growth in the state’s air travel connectivity.

Beyond North Carolina, Avelo is also introducing three additional routes connecting Nashville, Tennessee to Rochester, New York, and the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley and a new route linking Boston/Manchester, New Hampshire to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

These 10 new routes will commence in 2025, operating on Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Travelers can look forward to affordable travel options, with one-way fares starting at just $44.

The announcements were celebrated with festive events in Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, and Wilmington. Avelo leaders, airport administrators, community leaders, and media representatives

Hiring in North Carolina

Avelo Airlines is set to establish two new bases in North Carolina, creating employment opportunities and expanding its operational footprint in the state.

Charlotte Base Launch:

  • Opening date: March 6, 2025
  • Initial aircraft deployment: One Boeing Next-Generation 737
  • The second 737 aircraft will be added in April 2025

Wilmington Base Establishment:

  • Opening date: April 3, 2025
  • Initial aircraft deployment: One Boeing Next-Generation 737
  • The second 737 aircraft planned for later in 2025

Raleigh-Durham (RDU) Operations:

  • Established as a Crewmember base in February 2023
  • Current employment: Nearly 100 Crewmembers at RDU
