Avoiding traffic with summer travel tips

Whether you are heading to the beach or another state this summer, traffic is going to be a problem. Wes Guckert, the CEO of The Traffic Group, a traffic engineering firm in White Marsh believes the ultimate solution to your traffic worries is leaving earlier or later.

“Leave earlier than you planned or leave later than what you planned,” Guckert said.

He thinks the solution will save you time and help prevent accidents as less people are trying to hurry. He also recommends avoid peak traffic times by traveling before 8 a.m. and after 7 p.m. He also suggested leaving on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and to plan route ahead of time.
