’Back in business’ Lewis Barbecue reopens in time for Father’s Day weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Lewis Barbecue reopened for what could be a busy Father’s Day weekend.

The popular restaurant on N Nassau Street announced earlier this week a temporary closure due to maintenance and canceled catering orders through mid-June.

In an update Saturday, Lewis said it was open and serving customers. “Back in business! We are open today from 11am-5pm. Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you soon,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post.

The restaurant did not provide details on maintenance issues the prompted the temporary closure or give timeline for reopening.
