The campaign, featuring actress Zendaya, celebrates the revival of Murakami’s 2003 multicolored Monogram designs that became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s. This collection marks a significant milestone for Louis Vuitton, showcasing its ability to merge timeless craftsmanship with bold creative expression.
The 2025 re-edition spans over 200 meticulously crafted pieces, including handbags, accessories, footwear, and even perfume bottles. Fans of the original collaboration will delight in the return of beloved motifs like the Monogram Multicolore, Cherry Blossom, and Superflat Panda. Each piece is enhanced with modern technology and classic Louis Vuitton detailing, making the collection both nostalgic and innovative.
Highlights of the collection include the Monogram Multicolore on signature City Bags like the Dauphine Soft, Speedy 25, and Alma BB. The design adorns both white and black backgrounds, appearing across a range of products, including bucket hats, sunglasses, silk scarves, and travel luggage. Murakami’s whimsical Superflat Panda motif adds a playful touch to handbags, travel essentials, keyrings, and even skateboards. Perfumes such as Attrape-Rêves and Imagination are reimagined with vibrant Superflat Panda and Garden designs, bringing a fresh aesthetic to the brand’s fragrance line.
Louis Vuitton is also spotlighting the creativity of Pharrell Williams, the brand’s Men’s Creative Director. In his Fall-Winter 2024 show, “Paris to VA,” Pharrell unveiled a luxury reinterpretation of Timberland’s 6-inch boots, combining workwear influences with premium Italian craftsmanship. For Spring-Summer 2025, Pharrell debuts his first sneaker for Louis Vuitton, the LV Footprint Soccer. Inspired by classic cleated sports boots, the sneaker features a laced calf leather upper, a padded rubber outsole with Monogram-inspired motifs, and bold monochromatic hues like red, forest green, and blue.
The Louis Vuitton × Murakami re-edition collection’s Chapter One launch begins January 3, 2025, with an immersive global campaign and exclusive activations throughout the year. Pharrell’s LV Footprint Soccer sneaker will debut in stores on January 2, 2025, following pre-orders starting December 26, 2024.
