Bar believes it’s on forefront of entertainment complex that Louisiana Boardwalk will become

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) — Sweet Caroline’s Dueling Piano Bar is bringing life back to Louisiana Boardwalk.

The Bossier City business that’s been open for nearly a year has seen rapid success with its karaoke competitions. On Tuesday night, the bar hosted a karaoke competition with 10 finalists competing for a cash prize of $5,000.

“A multitude of venues and restaurants and bars around town all held their own karaoke singing competitions,” explained D.J. Roman, co-owner of Sweet Caroline’s. “The winner from each of those events have competed here at Sweet Caroline’s Piano Bar at the Boardwalk.”

The piano bar opened in December 2023. And staff say they are excited about what’s to come.

“I think we are on the forefront of what the boardwalk will become, which is an entertainment complex with restaurants and shopping as well,” Roman said. “It’s going to have to change over time, but we’re happy that what we’ve been able to provide for the area has been something that I think is needed.”

“I think the Boardwalk’s got potential; I think everybody sees that it’s got potential,” said Jacob Zaffater, of Treetop Entertainment. “Many people remember from when they were kids that it’s a great spot to go to. And if you see these crowds in here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I mean it’s nuts.”

Tuesday night’s competition included celebrity judges including Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler and Councilman Chris Smith.

Sweet Caroline’s Dueling Piano Bar will announce the winner on its social media pages.
