Bedford businesses investigated for illicit sexual activity; two charged

BEDFORD Va. (WDBJ) – Two people have been charged following an investigation of illicit sexual activity at a business in the Town of Bedford, according to the Bedford Police Department.

Police say officers executed a search warrant Tuesday after receiving complaints from citizens of illicit sexual activity occurring at a business in the 500 block of Blue Ridge Avenue.

According to police, Jian-Ping You, 64, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of operating a bawdy place.

Li Li, 65, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of prostitution.

Police say officers are working with local government officials to review the business’ license. They have not released the name of the business.
