Bedford County approves $400,000 for business center expansion
BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. — Phase two of the New London Business and Technology Center expansion is officially a go.
The Bedford County Board of Supervisors voted six to one this week to give the project the remaining $400,000 it needed.
Now, the Economic Development Authority can start phase two of the project: preparing the land for industrial buildings.

This means developers will have to rearrange six to nine holes on the New London Disc Golf Course, which currently occupies the space.
“We want to make sure that we keep as much of the integrity of the original course in place,” said Pam Armstrong, Bedford County’s director of economic development. “We want to work with Mr. McBeth to rearrange the course, so to speak, but still keeping a nice flow.”
The EDA said this project is vital for making Bedford County competitive when it comes to industrial development.
