Behind the Business: H30 Wellness

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — One local business aims to help keep the body and soul stay healthy. This week’s Behind the Business brings us to H3O Wellness.

According to the World Health Organization, about 280 million people have depression.

Doctor Nicole Bartlett, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and owner of H30 Wellness recognized how many people were struggling in southern Idaho.

“We’re a Spravato treatment center, we’re the only Spravato treatment center in about 150-mile radius in any direction that you go, Spravato is used for treatment resistant depression, it’s the only form of ketamine that is FDA approved for treatment resistant depression,” said Dr. Nicole Bartlett.

At H30 Wellness, they offer Psychiatric Services, IV Infusion Services, TMS, Substance Use Disorder Services, Vitamin Injections, and Spravato treatment.

Spravato works by targeting neural receptors in the brain.

They opened in October of 2022 and Doctor Nicole Bartlett says the main reason she opened the center is because she saw a significant need for alternative depression treatments.

“The number one diagnoses that people land on disability for is depression so it’s a significant issue in our community, that’s why it’s important to have alternative treatments such as Ketamine Spravato,” said Bartlett.

Dr. Bartlett explains what it looks like if you were interested in going to H3O Wellness.

“Patients can self-refer, they can also, referrals can also be sent from their primary care providers, we take almost every insurance, and we would do an intake, so the initial appointment is about two hours and then we would develop a treatment plan from there,” said Bartlett.

The center is specially trained and certified in offering the Spravato treatments.

It requires special training.

Each patient’s plan will look different and you can still visit your primary care provider as well as visiting H3O Wellness.

“Spravato comes in, it looks like a Flonase bottle, it’s a nasal spray, the patient self-administers, they put it into each nostril, and then there are guidelines by the FDA that dictate what we have to do next as far as collecting vital signs,” said Bartlett.

They are located at 704 2nd Ave. North in Twin Falls.

They can be reached at 208-207-9422 or via this link.

Bartlett says she and her team are there to support community members who have been suffering from depression for years.

“This has brought an alternative treatment to those people who are continuing to suffer decades and decades of depression. Spravato has enabled people to engage in their lives again, get back into society, begin working again, get back to activities that they have let go by the wayside,” said Bartlett.
