The San Diego Padres have been housing the Washington Nationals on their home turf this series, winning 4-0 on Tuesday and – as of these words being typed – leading Washington 12-3 on Wednesday.

Let’s count on that trend continuing on Thursday, as San Diego sends Dylan Cease to the bump. Cease, by my math, has currently blanked the opposition in 19 straight innings. Washington counters tomorrow with Patrick Corbin and his 5.35 ERA. The Padres should be able to sweep the series in style tomorrow and cover the 1.5 runs for us.
