• The Peer Learning Collaborative presents “Environmental and Ethical Dimensions of Vegetarianism,” a three-session seminar from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 4, 11 and 18, at the La Jolla Community Center, 6811 La Jolla Blvd. The facilitator is Bruce Englebert, who spent 32 years with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy and President’s Council on Environmental Quality.
