Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

The best fitness trackers are useful for reaching your fitness goals and monitoring your health. They keep track of your daily activity, heart rate, sleeping patterns, workout details and other measurables that affect your well-being. They also make great holiday gifts, and they look cool, too.

We’ve picked out the best Amazon deals currently available on fitness trackers. Some of the products mentioned below, like the Apple Watch Series 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, are previous-generation devices. Since they are only about a year old, they still come with many of the health, wellness and fitness features you’d expect of a modern smartwatch, making them a good deal when found at a discount. Learn more about how to pick out the right smartwatch in our full buying guide.

Best Prime Day fitness tracker deals

The Apple Watch Series 9 may have just been replaced by the Series 10, but it’s still an excellent fitness tracker in 2024. It has a built-in temperature and ECG sensor. This watch also can help you track different types of activities like walking, running, pilates, cycling and so much more. It also monitors your sleeping patterns as well. Since it’s an Apple product, it features Siri to give you a hands-free experience.

A more budget-friendly option from Apple. It has most of the features that the Series 9 watch has. The SE does not have the always-on display and certain heart-monitoring features like the ECG. At $170, it’s down to its best price to date.

More Prime Day deals on fitness trackers

  • Amazfit Bip 5 smartwatch: $66 (save $24). This Amazfit model is a budget smartwatch, so it won’t compete with a Garmin or Apple Watch, but getting a smartwatch that is at all functional for this sort of price is a win. It has GPS, heart rate and activity tracking, plus it can sync with apps like Strava. It also has a 10-day battery life.
  • Garmin Vivoactive 5: $250 (save $50). Designed as an Apple Watch SE competitor, the Vivoactive 5 offers a svelte design, a nice AMOLED screen and key activity tracking features, but it leaves out heart health features of fancier Garmins.
  • Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar smartwatch: $480 (save $120). In our review, we praised this model’s battery life and Morning Report feature, but we were put off by the price. Thankfully that concern is assuaged with this deal.
  • Fitbit Ace LTE: $171 (save $59). Score a new all-time low price on this kid-focused smartwatch. It’s equipped with 4G for connectivity on the go, and it’s designed to be set up as a standalone device without the need to be paired to a phone — ideal for parents who want to be able to communicate with or track younger kids who aren’t ready for a mobile phone of their own.
  • Amazfit Band 7: $45 (save $5). This fitness band has up to 28 days of battery life and can track over 120 workouts with all the health monitoring you need.
  • Amazfit GTR Mini Smart Watch: $90 (save $10). This 43mm fitness tracker is so lightweight you’ll forget you’re wearing it during any of the 120+ built-in workouts you choose.
  • Tykoit fitness tracker: $18 (save $4). Track your steps, monitor your heart rate and make sure you’re getting good sleep with this super budget-friendly smartwatch and fitness tracker. It’s also waterproof.

When was Amazon’s October Prime Day 2024?

Amazon’s Prime Day event startedon Oct. 8 and continued for 48 hours till 11:59 PM on Oct. 9. While things have officially wrapped, some deals are lingering. We can’t say how long these will last, so it’s best to shop quickly before they disappear.

How does October Prime Day compare to July Prime Day?

There are lots of similarities between the two sales. Many of the same deals return during the October sale, especially on Amazon’s own devices, such as Blink and Ring home security devices, Fire TVs and tablets, Echo devices and more.

The main difference is related to the timing of the sale. Since July Prime Day is in the summer, there’s more focus on back-to-school and outdoor deals. This includes school supplies, grills, lawnmowers and more. During October Prime Day, we see more deals geared toward the upcoming holiday season, such as kitchenware for a Thanksgiving meal or kids toys and games for Christmas.
