BetWarrior joins awareness campaign against illegal gambling in Argentina – Games Magazine Brasil

The campaign participants state that minors’ access to online gambling is prohibited and ensuring this prohibition is a priority and of utmost relevance for both the State and the legally operating betting houses in Argentina.

The problem lies in the fact that there are hundreds of illegal betting sites that do not conduct any kind of control, facilitating access to anyone,” the joint statement says.

The campaign, launched during the Copa América, features prominent sports journalists and aims to highlight the differences between legal sites, which all end in .bet.ar and do not allow minors, and illegal sites that use international or dynamic domains to evade controls.

Legal sites operate under strict control standards and implement processes, resources, and technologies that ensure not only that minors cannot gamble but also that adults do so in a safe and responsible environment. In contrast, illegal sites do not apply any controls, which is why the campaign seeks to raise awareness about the difference.

In addition to the awareness campaign and the complaints made by the state lotteries in each jurisdiction, CASCBA filed a criminal action to block access to 254 illegal betting sites currently operating in Argentina without any control or authorization.

ALEA and CASCBA are working to raise awareness so that banks, virtual wallets, media outlets, and social networks stop promoting or facilitating access to these types of sites.

The Chamber thanks BetWarrior, Betano, Betsson, Bplay, bet365, City Center Rosario, Casino Magic Neuquén, Lotería de Misiones, Casino Club, Casino Buenos Aires, and Betfun for their commitment and hopes that the campaign, along with the complaints, will be a firm step forward in the fight against illegal gambling, aiming to ensure a safe and responsible industry,” the statement concludes.
