Big Buccaneers Gambling Guide: Week Thirteen At Panthers – Bucs Report

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are rolling again and so are the bets. Last week I went 5/5 and hit a nice little parlay. This week I am upping the odds and upping the bet.

There are a lot of bets I like this week as the Bucs take on a very beatable Carolina Panthers team. It’s a good chance for most offensive players to have a big day. I’m ready to pile on the points this week in my Big Bucs Gambling Guide.

Buccaneers -5.5

Fresh off the domination of another terrible football team the Buccaneers are only getting 5.5 points going into Carolina. Granted I do believe the Panthers are better than the New York Giants, but not so much better to where this game shouldn’t be a blowout.

Even if the Panthers offense behind head coach and former Buccaneers offensive coordinator, Dave Canales, can manage to keep this game close I think the Bucs offense is too much for the Panthers to keep pace with. I expect this to be a game decided by more than a touchdown so 5.5 feels like a very comfortable number.

Baker Mayfield over 235.5 passing yards

The Panthers pass defense isn’t as bad as you would expect for a bottom feeder type of team. They are very much middle of the pack in terms of allowing passing yards. However, this Buccaneers offense is not your run-of-the-mill passing attack. With the return of Mike Evans, this offense should be almost as dynamic as it was previously. I expect a comfortable over on this number as Mayfield spreads the ball all over the field.

Jalen McMillan over 18.5 receiving yards

You might be surprised what wide receiver had the most snaps last week. It wasn’t future Hall of Famer Mike Evans as he returned from injury. In fact, it was rookie wide receiver Jalen McMillan who had more snaps than any other wide receiver on the team. This is somewhat surprising following reports that McMillan had been in the coaching staff’s doghouse. However, he started the year as the number three wide receiver and with Chris Godwin down he is clearly the second most talented option in the passing game. With so much attention going to Mike Evans, I expect two or three catchers for at least 20 yards.

Rachaad White over 16.5 receiving yards

In recent history, star receiver Mike Evans has eaten the Panthers defense alive. It was just two years ago that he went for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns against this defense. Needless to say, that type of production will warrant a lot of attention on Sunday. This should open things up for everyone else on the offense. Without an established wide receiver alongside Evans, White looks like the next best option in the passing game. Especially for those of you who believe (like I do) that the Bucs will be up early in this game and running backs will be getting a lot of touches.

Bucky Irving over 54.5 rushing yards

While the Panthers pass defense is respectable, the run defense is their biggest issue. They are one of the worst running defenses in the league and this is a big opportunity for Bucky Irving, who started to emerge last week against the Giants. Assuming the defense is focused on Evans, Irving should get a lot of work early on. Look for another big day from Irving as he continues to establish himself in this league.

Payne Durham anytime touchdown

A more reasonable person would stop this parlay at five legs. However, I like to be a little plucky with my parlays. So, if you were looking to add some serious juice to your parlay, this is a play I like. The Bucs offense has been featuring more two tight end looks in recent weeks. Durham has been the benefactor of this move and is seeing more playing time. We saw a very nice catch from him last week and maybe he is starting to earn some trust from Mayfield. I’ll assume that continues this week and I’ll take a flyer on a guy who has always been a great red zone target.

Six leg parlay +15028
