Big Ten passport helps sports fans find popular spots in East Lansing

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Thousands of people will soon travel to Greater Lansing to watch the Spartans on the field this fall. While visitors are in town, they can hit some of the most popular spots in the area with the help of a new online tool.

“You’ve got a curated list right in your hand, right on your phone,” said Lori Lanspeary with Choose Lansing.

To get the new digital Big Ten passport, visit citiesofthebigten.com. The website will walk customers through step by step, showing them how to get the passport in the palm of their hand. The passport features all 17 Big Ten cities, with East Lansing of course being one of them.

“There is so much to do here in Greater Lansing. I mean just downtown think of all the things there are to do,” Lanspeary said.

“It’s a place for exploration we offer hands-on science for ages birth to 14. We see adults and families all alike, you do not have to be little to enjoy it. Science is for everyone,” said Taylor Hodge with Impression 5.

If science isn’t sounding interesting, what about a night at Zap Zone XL?

“We went for a look where we include kids and adults. From adults coming to have a drink to kids going to jump on trampolines, we have everything you can think of,” said Zap Zone manager Muhammad Qatum.

“We’re really excited for as many people as we can get through the door and we are just hoping they have a great time here,” Hodge said.
