Bill Maher calls out Jay Leno over gambling debt rumors after his black eye injury

Bill Maher has addressed the gambling debt theories surrounding Jay Leno by calling out the former late night host directly.

Maher, 68 — who recently unleashed a foul-mouthed rant — grilled Leno, 74, about fans’ conjecture that his recent series of accidents are a result of a mafia-adjacent gambling addiction.

Leno suffered a banged up face, including a severe black eye, in November, which he said he sustained after taking a steep fall in Pennsylvania.

Bill said to Jay on his Club Random podcast, ‘[There’s] a conspiracy theory, since you’ve had three accidents, that you actually have gambling debts and are being beaten up by the mob.’

In response, the Jay Leno’s Garage star laughed off the idea and joked, ‘I love the idea that the mob would drive to Greensburg, Pennsylvania, [and] wait outside the Hampton Inn on a sleety, rainy day to throw me down a hill.’

The media personality then clarified, ‘They’re saying ‘throw you down the hill’ was your cover story, but they just beat you up like the mob always does.’

Before the tumble, Leno endured multiple injuries when he accidentally set his face on fire while working on one of his cars.

Another mishap left the Hollywood vet with various broken bones.

Jay’s net worth is believed to be upwards of $450 million, but that didn’t stop fans from floating the theory that he could be indebted to loan sharks.

‘I like the idea that they wouldn’t just take one of my cars the gambling debt,’ he said to Bill while denying the outrageous rumor.

Last month, while speaking to Inside Edition after the incident, Leno revealed, ‘I broke my wrist, lost my nail on the finger. I’m all black and blue from 60 feet of hitting rocks.’

Despite the serious fall, the seasoned professional performed a show just hours later.

It came two years after he was badly burned when a vintage 1907 engine he was working on exploded in his face.

At the time, Leno was hospitalized following the fiery explosion at his private garage, where he keeps his vintage car collection.

‘F*** off, you f***s,’ the comedian said frankly.

Maher and Leno and discussed the country’s political climate, which seems to reach a boiling point at the end of the year.

The expletive-laced rant came after Leno spoke about being seen as a ‘traitor’ by Hollywood liberals for his public support of Republican President-elect Donald Trump.

‘It’s so funny you mention that because today, we live in this time when you’re not allowed to have friends from the other side or cross lines politically,’ Maher said.

”Ooh, the worst thing you could ever do — be friends with a Republican. Ahh! Call 911!” he mocked.

‘This is what I f***ing hate about the left,’ the left-leaning star emphasized.

‘And they’re not going to get me over to the Trump side, which they think they will sometimes, but just the idea that, you know, ‘Cut your family off for Thanksgiving if they voted for the wrong guy.’ F*** off, you f***s.’
